Eights (dentes serotini – the third molars, sapientes) are the eighth tooth from the medial line in the human jaw. Unlike other teeth eights develop relatively late development, the jaw is reduced which does not follow the appropriate reduction in the number and size of teeth. Therefore, more often encounter the problem of non grown teeth, and usually it is the third molars. Therapy is called alveotomy and it is a surgical removal of such teeth.
